Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any previous experience to take a lesson?
Not at all! We have courses specifically designed for beginners. Our instructors will teach you everything from how to keep your balance to sailing your first few meters. You just need to know how to swim and be ready to have fun.
What is included in the lesson price?
The cost of the lesson includes everything you need: all the gear (board and sail appropriate for your level), a wetsuit if necessary, and, of course, guidance from a certified instructor. Just bring your sunscreen and a towel.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my lesson?
We totally understand that plans can change — and we’ll always do our best to work with you. At the same time, each lesson is reserved specifically for you, including instructor time and equipment preparation.
By booking a lesson with Puerto Rico Wind & Surf, you agree to the following terms:
Cancellations & Changes
• 48 hours or more notice: You are eligible for a full refund or a one-time rescheduling at no additional cost.
• 24 to 47 hours notice: You will receive a 75% refund of the lesson price, or you may reschedule by paying an additional 10% rebooking fee.
• Less than 24 hours or No-show: No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted.
To cancel or reschedule your lesson, please contact us as soon as possible at prwindandsurf@gmail.com.
Can I rent gear if I’m not taking a lesson?
Of course! If you already know how to sail, you can rent gear by the hour or for the full day. We will just ask for an ID and, in some cases, a quick demonstration that you know the basic safety rules on the water.
Is there a specific sailing area, and do you provide rescue services?
Yes! For your safety, we have a designated supervised sailing area in front of our center. If you go too far or have any technical issues, we have a rescue boat ready to assist you. We will explain the boundaries and safety signals before you hit the water.
